Chorus: X-mas is cold When you have no gun to hold It’s the perfect season To spend time with your loved gun This year I wrote to Santa And asked him for a gun My old ones came and went a Brand new one’s what I want Chorus The X-mas socks are hanging The fireplace is lit If Santa don’t forget me I’m on a killing spree in a bit Chorus 'In order to have another Ramirez release out in the last days of 2018, I decided to make a two song X-mas Bandcamp single. This slow to mid tempo one's title of course is a take on the more traditional X-mas line 'X-mas is cold when you have no one to hold', and tells of a naive spree killer who asks Santa a new gun for X-mas, 'cause his old ones all 'came and went'. To fit the X-mas theme the music and vocal melodies are quite traditional and obviously inspired by UK glamrock band Mud's 1974 hit Lonely This Christmas. X-mas Is Cold! got its first live performance on December 16, 2018, and was played again on December 22, 2022.' Official YouTube video: https://youtu.be/zoCEas2uRx8Y

Ev’rybody loves the season and the snow People greet each other wherever they go Hearts so filled with joy, they might overflow But Santa brings his weapons, ho ho ho Chorus: It is the night of the slay ride Better stay inside It is the night of the slay ride The X-mas lights shine bright Santa doesn’t care No life he will spare He rides his sleigh And brings bloodshed all the way Young and old are there where Santa can be found But his only purpose is hunting people down He kills left and right and drives his sleigh around Leaving dead and wounded in each town Chorus 'Early December -- a few days after coming up with the first one -- I suddenly wrote the second Ramirez X-mas 2018 release song. Similarly to the opening track of the Ramirez X-mas 2011 online EP it is about a murderous Santa Claus. But this time he drives around in his sleigh, hunting young and old down on a slay ride. The music for this mid to up-tempo tune sounds pretty X-mas alike, and there is even a 'ho ho ho' in the lyrics!'

Used were a 4-track Yamaha MT100II cassette recorder, Audacity music editor, an acoustic guitar of Taiwanese origin, nylon D'Addario strings (1.09-0.71 millimetres/.043-.028 inches), a Fender pick from 1983, a Technics sx-KN3000 keyboard and a Shure PG-57 microphone.

Mixed on several dates between 11 and 20 December 2018 at the Ramirez Recording Room, using Audacity music editor.
