'Late July 2017 I came up with a mid to up tempo Mexican fiesta song, that had been lying around since. In February 2019 I wanted to write a song about eating the dead and decided to use the Mexican song for this and have the main character in the lyrics to flavor the human meat with Mexican spices as a funny twist. The need for a song about cannibalizing a dead body was there because in late 2018 or early 2019 I had noticed that quite some recent Danny Ramirez tunes deal with dead bodies in one way or another (but not yet in a cannibalistic way), and I plan to put them all on the May 2019 Bandcamp EP Corpses In My Closet!. It got its live debut on September 25, 2019, and was done five times -- with the final performance on May 14, 2022.'
