‘Late November 2017 I got the idea of writing a song about a would-be serial killer who gets arrested too soon, and therefore misses out on becoming a serial killer. Eleven months and about a week later I finally started singing the title to the song and playing the guitar chords to go with the vocal melody. That same evening I wrote the lyrics, with some minor changes done in May 2021. It appears that the main character in this slow to mid tempo song has a day job and tries to becoming a serial killer in his spare time after work. But luckily the cops arrest him after just one victim. From The Day! was played live four times from May 14 until October 28, 2022.’
