about

'This song is about some killer that knows he will kill again unless somebody stops him from doing so. Although there are murderers who like to kill, there also are killers with more compassion for their victims combined with an addiction to murdering. One of them was William Heirens from the U.S., who in December of 1945 left a message at one of his murder scenes in which he begged the authorities to arrest him. Those words inspired me to write these lyrics. When Heirens finally was arrested in June 1946 he claimed the murders were done by his alter ego George Murman. This could explain why he wrote the message he did write. He killed as the insane Murman and when he was done he looked upon the results of his deeds as the more sane Heirens. Nevertheless he was a pretty sick bastard. Although sort of the title track of the Murder Is Still A Crime!-tape (a picture taken at the December 1945 crime scene adorns the tape cover), this song has never been played live. It was planned to appear on the 2002 Reload Your Gun! cd, but in March 2002 got dropped from the track listing in favor of the song It's Life Itself That Treated Me Wrong!.'

lyrics

I've got that fever time and time again
Then I'm on the streets with a gun in my hand
Killing at random wherever I can
The trail of death will never end

Chorus:
Please, somebody stop me
Before I gonna kill more
I cannot control myself, you see
Like I proved so many times before

There ain't no cure to whatever drives this feel
Only the sweet soothing of the kill
Trying to resist only lasts that long
Once I could, but now there's murder to be done

Chorus

To murder wasn't meant to be
But I cannot deny what I crave for
No, I cannot escape my lust for gore
