'The title of this song is a quote by commander Grimes of the American Republic Militia in North-Carolina, done in a documentary by Louis Theroux or the like. Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd’s songs Gimme Three Steps and Saturday Night Special seem to have inspired the rest of the lyrics, telling about the dangers of alcohol combined with loaded guns. As you all know I think alcohol should only be used for good time purposes, because if every drunken body would begin to fighting or killing others the government might put a ban on alcohol just like they did on most of the other dope. And then what do we do to keep our minds off of our lives?!? Don't Drink! was played live a few times from 2005 or 2006 until February 15, 2008, and after many years was on the set list again on May 14, 2022.'
